1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Outpost Media (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a DBA of The Session Media LLC, operating as part of the Black Hills Consortium. By accessing or using our website, podcast channels, video content, social media platforms, or any related services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

2. Description of Services

Outpost Media operates a 9-channel, AI-powered media network producing podcasts, video content, live streams, newsletters, and editorial content. Our channels span cannabis industry coverage, outdoor adventure, technology commentary, gaming, education, and community storytelling. Content is distributed across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Rumble, X (Twitter), Substack, and our own website. We also offer studio rental services through THE BARN Studios and sponsor partnership opportunities.

3. Content Licensing and Intellectual Property

All content produced by Outpost Media — including but not limited to podcasts, video episodes, show artwork, AI-generated graphics, VTuber character likenesses (Sage Greenleaf, Paha Sapa, and Nugget), scripts, music, and editorial text — is the exclusive property of The Session Media LLC. All rights are reserved unless a separate written license has been granted.

Limited License to Users: You may share, embed, or link to our publicly available content for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you include proper attribution to Outpost Media and do not alter the content. Downloading, re-uploading, or redistributing full episodes or video content on other platforms without prior written consent is prohibited.

Content Licensing Inquiries: Media outlets, educational institutions, and platforms seeking formal content licensing agreements should contact us at legal@blackhillsconsortium.org.

4. User-Generated Content

Certain features of our Services may allow you to submit comments, reviews, social media responses, or other user-generated content (“UGC”). By submitting UGC, you grant Outpost Media a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content across our channels and platforms. You retain ownership of your original content but acknowledge our right to use it in connection with our media operations.

You represent that your UGC does not infringe on any third-party rights, does not contain unlawful material, and complies with all applicable laws. We reserve the right to remove any UGC at our sole discretion.

5. Podcast and Video Distribution

Outpost Media content is distributed through third-party platforms including but not limited to YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Rumble, and X. Your use of our content on these platforms is also subject to the respective platform’s terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party distribution platforms.

RSS feeds for our podcasts are provided for personal listening purposes only. Unauthorized scraping, mirroring, or rebroadcasting of our RSS feeds is prohibited.

6. Social Media Content Usage

Content shared on our social media accounts (X, Instagram, TikTok, and others) is subject to the respective platform’s terms. When we reshare, quote, or feature user content on our channels, we will provide attribution where reasonably possible. If you wish to have your content removed from our social media features, contact us at legal@blackhillsconsortium.org.

7. Advertising and Sponsorship Terms

Outpost Media features sponsored content, product placements, and advertising integrations across its channels. All sponsored content is disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines. Sponsor relationships do not influence editorial independence. Opinions expressed in our content are those of the hosts and guests, and do not constitute endorsements by Outpost Media or the Black Hills Consortium unless explicitly stated.

Businesses interested in advertising or sponsorship opportunities should contact sponsors@outpostmedia.com. Sponsorship agreements are governed by separate written contracts.

8. Press and Media Inquiries

Members of the press may use short excerpts and quotes from our publicly available content for news reporting purposes with proper attribution. Full republication or syndication requires a written licensing agreement. Press inquiries should be directed to legal@blackhillsconsortium.org.

9. Studio Rental Terms

THE BARN Studios is available for third-party rental. Studio rental agreements are governed by separate written contracts that include equipment usage policies, liability waivers, time restrictions, and cancellation terms. All renters must sign a studio rental agreement prior to use.

10. AI-Generated Content Disclosure

Outpost Media utilizes artificial intelligence tools in its production workflows, including AI-assisted editing, AI-generated graphics, AI-powered VTuber characters, and AI-assisted scriptwriting. While AI tools assist in production, all editorial decisions and content strategy are directed by human team members.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, and we disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Outpost Media, The Session Media LLC, Black Hills Consortium, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Dakota. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Custer County, South Dakota.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
